Nancy Torgerson

OD, FCOVD

Dr. Torgerson is a graduate of the University of the Pacific College of Optometry and is a member and past president of the International College of Optometrists of Vision Development (COVD).

She has served as President of the Washington State Board of Optometry and National Chair of the Optometry Extension Program (OEP) Regional Clinical Seminars.

She has received numerous awards for her work, including the COVD Presidents' Award and America's Outstanding Young Woman Award.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of the Pacific College of Optometry, as well as a speaker and consultant to educators, rehabilitation and therapy providers, sports teams, and other vision care professionals.

Michelle Mott

Michelle loves being a vision therapist. She is passionate about vision therapy and is very committed to helping her patients achieve success.

Michelle has been working at Alderwood Vision Therapy Center for eleven years and has always wanted to be able to help people of all ages.

She is an eternal student and in her spare time she enjoys photography, art, reading, and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Linda Sanet

COVT

Linda has a BA in Arts and Sciences from Westchester Community College and a BA in Philosophy (magna cum laude) from the College of Hofstra University. She received a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the State University of New York College of Optometry and Center for Optometry, and is certified as a Vision Therapist by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).

She has extensive experience of more than 40 years in the field of vision therapy and is a former associate director of the Division of Paraoptometry of the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and was part of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavioral Optometry.

Linda has lectured both nationally and internationally, and her publications have been translated into Italian and Spanish. Linda has been awarded the Lora McGraw Award for Outstanding Achievement, Commitment and Contribution to Developmental Optometry, as well as the COVD President's Jewel Young Award, COTV Annual Award as well as the 'Making VT Visible ', a public award for his contribution to Vision Therapy and the development of vision.

María Jesús López

Doctor in Neurosciences 

María has a degree in Biological Sciences, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and is a Specialist in Child Brain Development. She also has a Doctorate in Biological CC, Neuroscience program from the Complutense University of Madrid.

She has been working with children with brain injury and learning disabilities for over thirty years. His most important contribution to this field is that he works from a global point of view, that is, both from the information input pathways to the brain -visual route, auditory route, tactile route- and from the information output pathways of the brain. brain -gross motor, fine motor and language-. She performs neuro-functional evaluations of children as well as the design of neurostimulation programs. His goal is to achieve a comprehensive development of the child in all areas: physiological, sensory, motor, intellectual and social.

Another of the fields in which it works is training, both for parents and professionals in the field of neurodevelopment. María has taught classes in the Master's Degree in Neuropsychology and Education, in the subject of "Attention deficit and/or hyperactivity" at the UNIR and is director of the Chair of Neurodevelopment at the UCAM.

Pilar Vergara

Optometrist, FCOVD, FBOAF, FCSO, FSIODEC  

Pilar has been an optometrist for 30 years and has obtained her degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has specialized in the development of vision and visual therapy alongside the prestigious Dr. Robert Sanet and Linda Sanet, having been the first Spanish person to obtain the title of Fellow from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (United States) and She has been part of the Examining Committee from 2002 to 2007, being the first international optometrist to occupy this position.

She has given courses and conferences at a national and international level (Germany, Italy, France, England, Brazil, USA, etc.) and is the author of two books translated into several languages.

She has taught Optometry and Visual Therapy classes at the CEU San Pablo University and has been director of the Skeffington visual therapy center in Madrid. She currently directs her own consultation in Albacete, highlighting her work mainly in amblyopia, strabismus, special population, learning disabilities and head injuries.

Pilar is one of the founders of SIODEC, and continues to work actively for the association. She has received several international awards for her excellence in Behavioral Optometry.

Carla has a degree in Pharmacy and a Diploma in Optometry from the CEU San Pablo University.

He has completed the Clinical Master's Degree in Optometry and Visual Therapy at the International Optometry Center (COI).

She has worked as an optometrist for 8 years at the Pilar Vergara optometry center in Albacete, and is currently finishing her doctorate, a job that she combines with her teaching work as a professor of Ocular Pharmacology at the IOC.

Marta Cabranes
